Tildae's Hybrid Pocket for Gun & Spirit Enjoyers

In-game community build · v5526,946 favouritesUpdated 11/22/2024

Hybrid Pocket takes advantage of Pockets high base values to make use of both their Spirit and Gun potential. We start with Spirit early to snowball with our high base damage, and transition from full spirit to around a 50/50 split, making full use of Crippling Headshot. Currently testing this build for the 11/21 patch. My favorite three T4 items are Crippling, Diviners, and Leech for an insanely synergistic hybrid build. Spiritual Overflow might replace Diviner's earlier for me after some testing. If behind, play a standard spirit Pocket build and max Ult 2nd. You can't afford to go for high damage items, and ult is your best way to win teamfights back into the game. I currently skip Majestic as I don't feel like it's necessary but you can definitely buy it still!

Lane

Usually go this order, can skip regen if easy lane

Extra Regen

Monster Rounds

InfuserItem 558396679 · unavailable

Extra Stamina

Extra Regen

Super underrated and insane first buy, I buy this first everytime and almost never have to back.

Monster Rounds

Extra regen + helps shove the wave in case you're getting pushed. Can be skipped for other gun 500 items if you feel you don't need.

Infuser

Once you get infuser you should have all three abilities, meaning you can look for trades on the enemy laners off CD! Use these trades for extra sustain and damage.

Item 558396679

Super valuable item that helps your trades and sustains even more. At this point you're usually unkillable unless you really mess up your rotation.

Close Quarters

Super easy conditional damage boost for Pocket to proc. Sustain comes first but consider getting early for melee matchups!

Hollow Point

Buy this if you're owning lane and need the spirit shield. Can be replaced by Soul Shredder Bullets later or other Gun items.

Extra Stamina

Stamina first for in-fight mobility, sprint for roaming / boxhunting / ganking (if your laners allow you to roam often)

Sprint Boots

Extra Stam + Sprint boots might seem overkill but early greens are great and more mobility means more impact accross the map

Mystic Burst

Free damage on Cloak and Satchel, but not a high priority during the early lane since you kill very easily without.

Post Lane Farming and Fighting

Mystic Vuln + Barrage + Cold Front is our midgame core for damage and ganks

Mystic Vulnerability

Extra damage on your early burst combo! This item carries your damage into late game as you spend your time buying other non-damage items. Must buy for your early game before superior stam or majestic

Cold Front

Spirit resist / early burst to help snowball early. Smaller utility but cheaper. Can replace with another active later once you've already snowballed.

Stamina Mastery

My go to since Leap nerf. You can play leap still and get it here instead, but I think stamina has great use cases especially against silence and slowing hex

Mystic Shot

Great early burst + stats to your gun that scales into the late game with the spirit you'll be buying. You can finish off a lot of targets with this item!

Slowing Hex

frees up a green slot for great utility to help secure ganks. Love this change

Spirit Shredder

decent damage + healing for the early mid game. Can opt for Kinetic Dash instead, the new upgrade item isn't really that great for us

Enduring Speed

extra mobility since we're skipping majestic

Healbane

Been skipping spirit lifesteal since we don't need it early. We don't want to take extended fights and just burst targets down to snowball. Use this to get a brief heal after a gank.

Kinetic Dash

Adding here since it builds into Arcane, but I don't think you need it. Can buy if you have extra slots but you're ideally saving for the bigger spike items

Core items

Always get these items, order pref is first 3 L-R, rest are gamestate/fund dependent.

Tankbuster

welcome back baby (easy free damage)

Warp Stone

great mobility + stats, a core mobility option on pocket. Can use out of satchel!

Crippling Headshot

HUGE damage boost to our entire kit, and is easy to proc. Shredding resists is really important late game as people WILL buy armor, especially spirit armor in a spirit meta. Feels great, even before Kevlar.

Leech

Might be hot take but I take 2nd over divine. More stats in exchange for the safety Diviner's gives you when ulting. Replaces infuser

Arcane Surge

Too expensive to rush early for what it does, but a nice QoL set of stats after you get Leech. Best used with ult, NOT barrage

Other Options

Depends on Game State / Wants / Needs

Spiritual Overflow

Great item if you have extra money for an easy to proc conditional

Burst Fire

Sounds weird on Pocket, but large amounts of Fire Rate can be a great way to significantly boost DPS. Only get AFTER we get CDR to keep its uptime high. Replaces Kinetic. Get for teamfights where you need consistent dps output. Saving for Spiritual Overflow might be a better option if available.

Diviner's Kevlar

Lower on my list due to losing Spirit Lifesteal, but still a GREAT item for Pocket. Allows your ult to become a huge shield on command to save you in pinches.

Superior Cooldown

Worth considering earlier since we might have extra spirit slots. We love CDR and it gives us a spirit shield which we can appreciate now!

Silence Wave

Great damage after barrage + gimps characters that rely on ults / abilities to survive / succeed like Geist / Yamato / Ivy

Extra Utility

Buy these in specific game-state scenarios

Reactive Barrier

Buy against high CC teams or against lanes with impactfull CC (Bebop!!!, Grey Talon, Paradox, Mo & K, etc) Easy Lane!!!

Debuff Reducer

Buy against heavy debuff teams (Infernus, Geist, Shiv, active items, etc). Almost mandatory since we hate all the debuff characters + actives

Metal Skin

I pretty much never get but if you're against a full bullet team, might be nice (Wraith, Ivy, Haze)

Cursed Relic

self exaplanatory it's curse. Use this if you really need to shut down one specific carry on the enemy team (but I think you build enough util to not need it)

Rusted Barrel

Worse since the nerf, but can be a cheaper alternative against gun heavy teams (and helps you do more damage with your gun as well)

Mystic Slow

Reccomended against teams with high fire rate carries that can be hard to catch like Haze, Seven, and Infernus! Super easy to proc

Knockdown

Least favorite of the actives but is great for hard to pin or burst targets (Snipers, Shiv, Abrams,)

Ethereal Shift

ANTI CC. KEEPS YOU SAFE! You can initiate teamfights / dives with this but you MUST communicate that or else you will just die for free.
